The Jamaica Military Band – Marching Band Trophy
The Trophy was awarded to Parish of St. James at the Jamaica Legion Annual Conference held November 30, 2013, for being the Parish that amassed the most funds from a Band Concert. Rev. World War 11 Veteran Medals donated to the Jamaica Defence Force Museum
The late WO11 Clarence Murray was a World War 11 Veteran. He was the recipient of several medals, including the King James War Defence medal and the Italian Star medal.
After leaving the Jamaica Voluntary Battalion WO11 Clarence Murray enlisted in The 3rd Bn. Jamaica Regiment (NR) in 1962.
Following his passing in November 2012 his family donated his medals to the Jamaica Defence Force museum. WO11 Murray pictured far right receiving a congratulatory handshake from the late Brigadier David Smith, former Chief of Staff of the Jamaica Defence Force.
